So the pesky USB driver is the SiLabsUSBDriver for the Garmin ANT - Mac sets up in the following location: ~System/Library/Extensions/SiLabsUSBDriver. If someone has a slick solution, please let me know. As I have several years of data in the Windows version and have not yet had good success in porting to the Mac Training Center and maintaining any sort of intelligent organization (Garmin reverts to Date Listing for all data - and suggest that you can then make your own sub-groups like in iTunes - not exactly easy when segregation is NOT based on date). Still trying to figure out how to resolve that.īut I did find that if you delete the USB driver, life is restored to the Virtual Machine's ability to interface with the ANT Stick. It also caused my virtual machines to grow in size tremendously. But at least with the Ant Agent the data kept being transferred to the computer so. If you try and launch a Virtual Machine the ANT will not be there - and any effort to enable it will hang the system. 8) so she no longer was able to automatically upload her activities to GC. The problem is that the USB driver Garmin is using is apparently remaining active and locked onto the ANT Stick, even if you have not launched the Garmin Training Center or any other Garmin application that might want to use the ANT. The install of 2.0.2 did not go well and caused lost of problems. I have been waiting for the Mac environment ANT Agent to be released and it finally has been. Even if you put it back in the same USB slot, you will likely find it's not present - and selecting it while the Virtual Machine is fully up and running seems a sure fire way to cause kernel panic - same if you unplug it. If after installing the Garmin ANT agent for Windows you click on the grey USB icon that has a balloon identifying it as the Dynastream ANT2USB, you should be able to avoid kernel panic, at least until you remove the ANT stick. I feel forced to use Garmin Express with Garmin Connect to get to the data. This route to get the data seems to be not longer supported and stopped working. ![]() Open Express from Applications and try again.Ĥ.As there appear to be a few other users of the Garmin Forerunner 405 on this list, I thought I would post a quick note about a conflict I ran into. Until recently I used the ANT agent to get tcx-activity-files of my workouts locally to my PC w/o cloud services or internet, where I could analyze them with my own software. Go to ~/Library/Application Support/Garmin/Devices/ Quit Express from the black triangle icon in the Menu Bar up top It was removed when I reinstalled Express on second time. I tried on the early stage to use back ANT agent as it was working before the switch- but it doesnt seem to be supported now. Garmin ANT Agent allows you to transfer fitness data from compatible Garmin ANT devices to and from your computer. ![]() Let make sure all data associated with the ANT Agent is deleted from the computer. Training Center With ANT Agent - Ant - Ant Editor - Ant Algorithm - Ant War. You mentioned earlier that you went back to the ANT Agent. Go to: ~/Library/Application Support/Garmin/Express/Registered Devices/unit id/PendingSyncDownloads/ delete all files from this location then Empty the Trash on the Mac.ģ. And like mentioned, I also tried on PC - So the issue is probably not some bad data left from former installation of ANT agent or bad installation of GExpress. I am running the Garmin ANT Agent in a Windows XP Virtual Machine under Virtual Box. Clean out any old download items for the 910XT from the Mac.
